Earlobe Surgery
Three types of earlobe procedures commonly performed are for
- TORN EARLOBES – usually a piercing that has been caught and ‘pulled out’. This is often related to an ACC claim and if so ACC will often cover the associated costs
- LARGE EARLOBES – often as a result of aging or wearing large earrings. Earlobe size can be reduced
- STRETCHED EARLOBES – from expanders, stretchers and other cosmetic adornments. These can be repaired
Earlobe procedures are usually performed under a local anaesthetic (ie. An injection to make the earlobe numb). Stitches are in place for 5-7days.
